Better for Boats,

Best For Marine Ecosystem

These eco-friendly Marine coatings, Marine & Hull coating and Prop Coating are the result of 7 years of development in preparation for the 2018 phase-out and 2020 ban of copper boat bottom and ship hull paints and coatings.

Apply game-changing marine hull coatings now to avoid fines later. Lighten your boat and fatten your wallet on the fuel savings. Marine & Hull goes where other coatings don't, and does what other coatings can't.

  • Exceeds environmental standards

  • Effective and economical

Things to Look For in an Eco-Friendly Hull Coating:

  1. LOW VOC (SCAQMD) for a healthier workplace and NO CARCINOGENS (CAL PROP 65)  to concentrate in marine life or up the food chain

  2. NON-BIOCIDAL with NO HEAVY METALS to persist, accumulate and stress the ecosystem, creating an ideal environment for copper-resistant and pesticide-resistant invasive species to thrive and outcompete less-resistant native species

  3. NON-LEACHING and will not filiform beyond 1mm, even under sharp impact; extreme corrosion protection keeps metals well separated from sea water

  4. NATURE-BASED TECHNOLOGY; quartz is a natural component of sand. like Zebra and Quagga mussels, our marine coatings work via bonding methods at the molecular level.

  5. EFFECTIVE and unique chemical structure harnesses the strongest bonds in nature (e.g. crosslinking, covalent and ionic bonds) to lock pests out and keep them off marine vessels.

  6. LONG-LASTING & DURABLE and freeze/thaw resistant because it is flexible; well outlasts manufacturer’s 5-year warranty under most circumstances

  7. EXTREMELY DENSE, HARD & SMOOTH nano-scale coverage won’t allow entry of water or secretions that begin the biofouling process; slime wipes off or drops off under speed;  harder-than-granite coating features extremely high abrasion resistance

  8. AN AID TO LOWER FUEL CONSUMPTION by creating a smooth hard, lightweight hull coat that reduces drag; prop coat specially textured to protect from fouling and address damage from cavitation process to increase fuel economy

  9. A MEANS TO REDUCE TIME IN DRY DOCK because it requires virtually no touchups. Initial coating means sanding to metal, however recoat (every 5 to 10 years as needed) requires only light surface sanding. Unlike most coatings, ours does not become a risk of non-point pollution as it ages, so cleanup after coating/recoating is less complicated, too.

  10. LOW MAINTENANCE means it does not require brushes, vacuums, sandblasting or chemicals to clean; simply wipe down with white Scotch-brite and rag to clean.
